The name ‘Denette’ is known to many locals as it was the original name of the hotel that once stood here. The name was chosen by the owners at that time after their two daughters Denise and Bernadette. They were the first full time residents of the Hotel. The Hotel had been a family-run Hotel down through the years from The Denette in 1950s to The Castle Hotel in the late 1980s which was owned by the Judge family who were the last full-time residents of the Hotel. It was in 1992 that the Hotel succumbed to a fire. It is fitting to return the Original Name ‘Denette’ to our Private dining Restaurant.
The Denette can be booked for private events with seating for up to forty people, or for corporate functions up to fifty people. Enquiries to info@thecoachhousesligo.com or call us on 071 918 3111.
