As someone along with so many others in Sligo, I have always fought hard to promote our local area to the larger world. I have stated in the past the importance of tourism for the survival of rural areas and especially the West of Ireland. Today, I find it extremely difficult to inform you of the decision that I have had to make.
We have always valued and welcomed visitors from across the world and today, in advance of our reopening we must make a decision for the health and safety of our staff, our customers and our local community. This decision should not have been put on our shoulders or the many businesses that may choose to take the same route. If our Government had acted in our best interests you would not be reading this.
Today we advise all those traveling from outside The Island of Ireland who plan to stay with us or Dine in our restaurant in the coming weeks that they must have quarantined for 14 days in advance of their visit. We will be asking for proof of your arrival to Ireland and failure to comply with Coach House policy will lead us to cancel or reschedule your booking. This will be reviewed on a continuous basis in line with the Green Travel List being published on July 20th.
These are difficult times for us all and we must now find a way to live alongside Covid-19. This too will pass but until then we as a business must operate in a safe manner for our staff and community.
Ireland will always be known as the Land of a thousand welcomes and we long for the days that we can welcome guests to explore our wonderful lands once again.
Stay Safe
