Getting Here
From Dublin
Trains regularly run from the Dublin Connolly Station to the Ballymote train station, which takes roughly three hours. You can book a train ticket online here. (Link: https://www.irishrail.ie) The Ballymote train station is 700 metres from the Coach House Hotel.
From Galway
Driving from Galway to Ballymote takes about one hour, forty minutes.
It is also possible to take a Bus Eireann bus (route 64) from Galway to Sligo Town, and then the train from Sligo to Ballymote. The Bus Eireann buses arrive into the Sligo bus terminal, and the train station is just up the stairs from the terminal. If you have some time between journeys, there are plenty of spots to eat and shop within walking distance of the train terminal.
From Knock Airport
Driving from Knock Airport to Ballymote takes about 30 minutes. There are no direct public service routes between Knock Aiport and Ballymote, so we would advise driving or hiring a taxi, This can be arranged in advance directly with reception.
From Shannon Airport
Driving from Shannon Airport to Ballymote takes about two hours, ten minutes. There are no direct routes via public transport.
It is possible to take a Bus Eireann bus from Shannon airport to Galway (route 51) and then a bus from Galway to Sligo (route 64). Then travellers can take the train into Ballymote, or hire a taxi. Ballymote is 24km from the Sligo bus station and the journey takes about 25 minutes by car.
